Shock Absorbers May Wear Prematurely

Premature wear of the front struts and rear shock absorbers can affect vehicle handling and control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Summary Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC. (MBUSA) is recalling certain 2020 GLE450, GLS450, and GLS580 vehicles. The sealing of the piston assembly in the front struts and rear shock absorbers may leak and fail prematurely.

Remedy MBUSA will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front strut assemblies and rear shock absorbers, free of charge. This recall is expected to begin August 4, 2020. Owners may contact MBUSA customer service at 1-800-367-6372.
